An essential component of the South Lane County Fire & Rescue mission of “Quality Service” is through community outreach and education related to life safety, environmental protection, and property conservation.
Schedule a Station Tour
We welcome community members, students, and local groups to tour our fire stations and get a behind-the-scenes look at how South Lane County Fire & Rescue operates. Tours are a great way to learn about fire safety, meet the crews, and see the equipment up close.
To schedule a tour, please contact our main office at (541) 942-4493 or visit us at Station 201, 233 Harrison Ave, Cottage Grove, OR, Monday through Friday between 8 AM and 5 PM. We look forward to showing you around!

We offer CPR training sessions by request to help community members learn lifesaving skills and respond confidently in emergencies.

Annual Movie Night
Each year South Lane Fire & Rescue hosts a community movie night at our Creswell and Cottage Grove stations. Movie nights are open to the public and are free to attend. We also have a prevention fair that takes place before the movie with several fun events.

Fire Chief John Wooten is featured on the Beeper show the 3rd Friday of each month. Tune into KNND AM 1400 from 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM!
